Auto Insurance Project Statement
The advocacy branch of ABISS is currently working on a project to address critical changes that are needed to the way the Auto Insurance Industry deals with individuals who sustain brain injuries in a Motor Vehicle Crash. We have prepared a set of recommendations for immediate auto insurance change. We have included a digital copy of our position paper and media kit that we have provided to provincial members of parliament, members of the media, key government departments, and other advocacy groups who share similar goals.
Included in this section is a link to Our Stories, which document the challenges that people are facing with the current system. Also included is our set of key recommendations what we think are appropriate changes that should be made to the system based on our experience. Finally in this section we include responses that we have received. We have also included a link to the Ontario Provincial Liberals’ plan which you will find in The Marshall Report which many advocacy groups, including ABISS, find fundamentally flawed and places crash victims with TBIs at a significant disadvantage.
